MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice

On 12 August 2016 under GNR 915, the Minister of Environmental Affairs gave notice of her intention to require the Paper & Packaging Industry, Electrical & Electronic Equipment Industry and Lighting Industry to prepare and submit their industry waste management plans for approval as further detailed in the schedule to the notice (“GNR 915”) (Newsflash No. 18/2016).

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has now -
  • Under GNR 1010, withdrawn GNR 915; and
  • Under GNR 1011, in terms of section 28(1) read with section 28(5) of the NEM:WA, given notice of her intention to require the Paper & Packaging Industry, Electrical & Electronic Equipment Industry and Lighting Industry to prepare and submit their industry waste management plans for approval as further detailed in the schedule to GNR 1011.
Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 30 days of publication of GNR 1011 (i.e. on or before 13 October 2016).
